  6. GENERAL COVERAGE TX
  7. This is real simple just cut R34 on NB SW board behind front panel.
  8. Now the set has general coverage TX as well as RX.
  9.  
  10. RTTY RX NON STANDARD LOW TONES
  11.  
  12. Parts required:
  13. 1x LS104 coil
  14.  
  15. Remove top lid of screening box around X5 X6 etc in the centre of PCB.
  16. Unsolder the short earth strap between X5 and L35. Resolder this between X5
  17. and side screen.
  18. Remove 11 PCB securing screws and hinge the PCB from left over LHS of set.
  19. Unsolder screen beneath area of X5 etc.
  20. Remove L35  "LS93A"
  21.  
  22. Take LS104, cut the centre leg of the three on one side and orientate it into
  23. the PCB so that the two remaining legs go into the two holes in the PCB not
  24. the three. Solder in place, solder back the screen, replace the PCB and the
  25. screws.
  26. Switch on the set give a few minutes to warm up, connect a freq counter via a
  27. 470ohm resistor to cp1 and with the set on RTTY RX, adjust the new coil for
  28. 9.009325MHz.
